Online Card Class Week 1

  Hello All,
Today, I've finished my card for the Online Card Class.  Boy, these colors were a challenge to work with!
I colored the flower stamp, which is a CTMH Stamp with my RV Copics.  Used my ABS to color the buttons and used CTMH CS for the card.
Just a short and sweet blog today, since I'm going back to the Online Classroom and learning some more stuff.  Pretty excited about class though!  Glad that I am taking it.
Hugs,

Pricillastyles Challenge MMSC110

Hello again.  I made this Marci card today for Priscillastyles and for the Outlawz  color challenge.  I made a little boo boo on her hat though on the top right side.  The reds just don't want to stay in the lines!  I don't think you'll notice unless you look real close.  I really enjoy coloring with my markers and making cards for pleasure and cards for challenges.  I also love to see what you ladies come up with and see all that wonderful talent!  There are some really beautiful artwork that is being posted.
I am currently working on getting a Copic Journal made.  I have a portfolio but I just don't care for it after seeing Bren's Journal and Mandy's Journal.  I've already printed off my pages and got my tabs done from the Cricut Cartridge "From My Kitchen".  I don't know what I'm going to use for the covers of my journal yet though.  My LSS has some chipboard for sale for a quarter each and I think I'll buy a few sheets of that and see what I can do with it.  I've also got a Cinch that I bought over 6 mos. ago and I've never even had it out of the box!  When I make a book, I've been hand binding using my We R Memory Keepers  Crop A Dile.!  Aren't I stilly?  Oh well.  I guess I need to break the Ol' girl out and see if I can figure out how to use her.
I have to go into work tonight after having 4 glorious days off but I get Friday off so these 3 days won't be so bad I don't think.
Well, I better get off of here so I can enter these challenges and then get ready for work!
Hugs,
Carolyn

Salvaged Card

Really?  I was considering entering this?  Oh, come on!  What was I thinking?
e flowers and leaves. Now this is more like it.  I'm sure I can do better though.  It is after 12:30am and I'm getting pooped!  Maybe I should wait til tomorrow and tweak it and see what I think then?  I'm sure she'd look nice with some flowers and some leaves
I was inspired by Bren today to do a Copic Journal.  I am excited to get it started and I know exactly what papers I'm going to use.  Prima.  I picked them up in South Carolina when I took an Intermediate class from Suzanne J. Dean.  I have already taken an Intermediate class from Copics but decided to take one from Suzanne too.  Boy am I glad I did.  I've noticed that Copic doesn't like to give you a formula so to speak, but Suzanne will give you what she has tried and i like that.  I think it gives you an opportunity to try her formula and be able to tweak it if you will to fit your style. I don't like the guess work, but that is just me.  I want to see what has worked for others and see if I can't change it up a bit and make it my own.
Well, I think that is all for now,
Hugs,
Carolyn

Card? What Card?

OK, don't ya know I don't have any pictures to show you?  That's because I done and tore it all apart!  I was going to send it in to Pricillastyles and was trying to make it in to the deadline.  But, when I finished the card, it looked like crap.  Trust me, it did not look good at all!  So, I guess I'll wait until the next challenge and see what I can salvage from this disaster.
So, anyhoo, I have a partial card and a Magnolia girl ready for a card.  The card is a red, white and blue design and hopefully there will be a challenge out there for me to enter it into.
I also have a desire to do a Blog Candy.  I did an earlier post about it, but no one responded.  I'd like to give away the candy at 200 Followers.

OK, well, I snuck in a few of my studio.  When it was clean (of course).  Can't have you seeing it when it is dirty!
I quilt and do my scrapbooking in my studio.  I LOVE it.  It is my sanctuary.  I'd love to see everyone else's scrap rooms or studios.
Well, that is  it for now.
Hugs,
Carolyn

Paper Ala Mode Challenge

This is my 4th of July layout for Close To My Heart.

Blog Candy

Blog Candy:
Been thinking of having a "Blog Candy" when I hit 200 Blogs!  What do ya think?  I need to get a picture up.  Bad thing is:  I've been giving all my extra stuff to my daughter!  I've given a Martha Stewart Scor pal and a Fiskars Trimmer away already.
Well, I'll have to get a picture of the candy up.  I'm sure that I'll collect more candy by the day so we'll see what we get!
I will need to put up a rules to go buy so to speak so stay tuned!
Hugs,
Carolyn

Clean and Simple "Outlawz" Challenge

Wow!  This card took me hours believe it or not lol!  I wanted to add some layers and lace and flowers so bad but the rules are to keep it simple so you can make lots of these.
I had to add the yellow Butterfly though to punch it up a bit, I couldn't help myself.
I had to run and meet a friend today to get some CS so I can complete a Close To My Heart Layout for a class.  It will be a 4th of July theme and can't wait to put it together.  I already made one using another set of CS, but I don't have any of it left to teach a class on :(  and I think it turned out pretty nice.
I got a very nice surprise this morning.  My card that I entered for Copic Coloring on the Outlawz got featured this week!  I am very excited!
Well, that is all for now....I want to make another card and my creative juices are flowing so I'll be back soon.
Hugs,
Carolyn

WOYWW

Well, don't pass out!  I know exactly where everything is!  Not really lol.  After taking these pictures, I started cleaning off things and putting them in their proper places.  I can't believe how I've let my desk get the better of me.  I will blame work since I work outside of the home.
This is my first post for WOYWW.  What's On Your Work-desk Wednesday.  I kinda found Stamping Ground by accident one day.  I was blog surfing for the web site Color Me Creative and ran across her link on another persons blog and I've since then been trying to keep up with her.  She is a very funny and interesting person.

This, sadly is the condition of my actual desk :(.  I've actually got an excuse for the shape my desk and craft table are in....well sort of.  I'm going to be teaching a Beginner Copic Card Class and a Close To My Heart Layout Class in July and I've been trying to organize and get a teaching plan together and trying to pick the layout I want to use.
So, instead of getting to be creative and create a card or something else crafty, I guess I'll get back to getting my studio in some sort of non-chaotic state :).
  Hugs,
Carolyn :)

Tilda with Hibiscus

  Hello All,
This is going to be a really short post.  I just finished coloring Tilda and need to get ready for work.  I'm hoping to enter her into a few challenges.  I need to add a sentiment and then finish the inside.  I'm waiting on my daughter to return my die to be able to do this.  I am entering her in the TOMIC Challenge and Scrappy Frogs Challenge.
Told ya it was going to be short!
Hugs,
Carolyn

Working on a card

Don't have a picture to post....yet.  I'm working on one for the Little Darlings Summer Challenge.  Don't have a Little Darlings stamp yet, so will use one of my Magnolia's.  I just absolutely LOVE Tilda!
My studio is a mess.  I really don't know how I find anything anymore.  I guess I need to find the time to knuckle down and start organizing.  It used to be pretty organized and neat and you could find what you needed because I put things back where they belonged.  The 5's that we learn at work works pretty darn good if you use it lol!   My studio is part quilting area and part scrapbooking area.  I think I just need a bigger room.  But the cleaning and organizing will have to wait till later today or another day.  I need to take the hubby to work and then I am off to Almost Heaven Scrapbooking store.
I'm supposed to teach a Copic Card Class at work soon and I need to pick up some supplies.  I say "supposed" because I was asked to put in a request but it still needs to be voted on and approved by the TMAA committee.  It sounds crazy I know.  You're asked to teach but it still needs to be approve
This card class will be my first one to teach a Copic Coloring class.  I've been coloring for two yrs and I've taken two certification classes with Copics and I've taken an advanced class with Suzanne J Dean from Color Me Copic Classroom.  She was a really fun gal.  She really knows her stuff and I loved taking the class from her. I've taught quilting classes at work and helped out a friend teach a scrapbook class, but I'm still nervous about teaching Copic Coloring.
Well, that is about all for today I guess.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.
Hugs,
Carolyn

CMC and Magnolia Challenges

Hello all,
Thought I'd give CMC and Magnolia challenge a try today.  I think she needs something more but I am stumped.  Maybe some of you would like to give me some feedback?
I took a class with Suzanne J Dean on the 4th of June in Greensboro NC and I am currently taking her level 4 class in her Color Me Creative Classroom.  I've been coloring with Copics for almost two years and I am still learning!  I absolutely LOVE my Copic markers and I enjoy making cards.
Today, I used my Close To My Heart "DayDream" paper to make this card, colored my Tilda with my copics ( of course ) and used some prima flowers and Prima "say it in pearls" to accent.
That is it for now,
Hugs,
Carolyn

Magnolia Butterfly part 2

OK, I wasn't happy with the first card so I added two Prima leaves and changed out the background for the butterfly.  I think I'm OK with this one lol.
Hugs,
Carolyn

Butterfly Card

  Hello all,
This is my Butterfly Card.  The butterfly is Magnolia and the paper is Bo Bunny Barefoot Beach Bag, the flowers are Prima and the CS is Close To My Heart.  It looks like it needs some bling but what I have just wasn't cutting it so I left it off.  I had a lot of fun making her and shopped for her matching colors at Almost Heaven Scrapbooking store in Charleston WV.
I am going to enter it into the Just Magnolia Challenge and The Color Me Copic Club.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Carolyn

Color Me Creative Class

Hello friends!  This is a picture of Suzanne J. Dean from scrapbitz.blogspot.com.  She teaches Copic coloring classes thru her online classroom.  I was fortunate to be able to take a class from her on June 4th in Greensboro NC.  She is such a super sweet lady and funny to boot!
I took my oldest daughter Danielle with me and we had a very nice visit.
This is my first card that I designed on my own!  I will be sending it in to a challenge for Magnolia-Licious Stamps.  I don't expect to win of course, because I've seen some of the wonderful cards that have been made by some of the ladies but I'd still like to send in my card.  As time goes by, I hope to get better at this.  I've found that there are sooo many card designs out there and so many ideas!  A lot of these ladies are so talented and make such beautiful cards.
It took 3 trips to the Scrapbook Page before I found exactly what I was looking for in paper to show off my little Magnolia girl!  She is colored in Copic Markers and the paper I used is Close To My Heart, Echo Park "Spring Time" and "X Press It" Blending cardstock.
Well, I guess that is it for now,
Hugs,
Carolyn

Busy

Been really busy here lately.  Just came back from Greensboro NC.  Took a Color Me Creative Copic Class with Suzanne Dean.  Gosh, I had a very good time.  Took my daughter Danielle with me.
I've been doing nothing but coloring here lately and I need to start putting cards together!  I also need to get an order in to CTMH.  I need to get back to a Consultant status.
Hugs,
Carolyn
